How to Protect Yourself
While Kish does everything in our power to protect our clients from fraud and scams, it is essential to take additional steps to protect yourself on your end. Here are some key actions you can take to give yourself maximum protection.
What to Do | |
---|---|
Use your Kish Bank card | Kish Bank Debit and Credit Cards offer an enhanced level of security and fraud protection using both contactless and chip technology. |
Make sure your contact information is up-to-date | It’s important that we have your contact information so that we can reach you by phone, text, or email if we suspect fraud or to verify if a transaction is valid. To update your contact information, click "Manage Profile" in Kish Digital Banking, contact your local branch, or call our Client Solutions Center at 1-800-981-5474. |
Set up email or text alerts through Digital Banking | These alerts can notify you of abnormal debit card activity, out-of-state or international transactions, transactions made online or over the phone, transactions above a certain dollar amount, and more. To add or customize these alerts, click "Manage Alerts" in Digital Banking. |
Tell us when you’re traveling | To ensure that legitimate card transactions are processed without inconvenience or interruption when you’re traveling outside of your local area, notify your local branch or call our Client Solutions Center (1-800-981-5474). |
Monitor your accounts regularly for fraudulent transactions | Keep a close eye on your accounts using your statements or Kish Digital Banking. If you see something out of the ordinary or suspect fraudulent activity, alert your local branch or call our Client Solutions Center (1-800-981-5474) immediately. |
Call Kish if you are asked to provide your information | If you are ever asked to provide information such as your account number, debit card number, passwords, or other personal information about you or your Kish Bank accounts, or if you are asked to send funds from your account, contact Kish directly to verify the legitimacy of the communication using a known phone number or email for Kish Bank. DO NOT provide information about your accounts or yourself to anyone who contacts you, especially if you were not anticipating the communication or phone call. Our contact information can be found on our Contact Us page. |
