PRESS RELEASE
STATE COLLEGE, PA – Kish Bank is proud to announce that its 2024 Kish for the Cure campaign, an annual employee-led fundraising effort supporting local cancer-related nonprofits, raised another record-breaking grand total of over $90,000. The donations were distributed this week to the campaign’s three beneficiaries: the Bob Perks Cancer Assistance Fund, Pennsylvania Pink Zone, and American Cancer Society events in Central PA.
Robin Heim, Tami Hetrick, Rik Messick, Linda Gall, and Clay Genny of the Bob Perks Fund; Greg Hayes of Kish Bank; Trish Fulvio and Tammy Miller of PA Pink Zone; Theresa Ledney and Tom Chucuddy of the American Cancer Society.
Kish’s annual campaign has raised more than $625,000 in total since 2012, and it continues to grow in scope and impact each year. The Bob Perks Fund, Pink Zone, and American Cancer Society lead the fight against cancer in the Central Pennsylvania region by funding cancer research and awareness, treatment programs at local hospitals, and critical financial support for local individuals and families affected by cancer.
Upon receiving the donation, Robin Heim, Board President of the Bob Perks Fund, said, “We are fortunate and so grateful to have Kish Bank in our corner. The partnership between the Bob Perks Fund and Kish Bank has allowed us to allocate more funds every year, thus helping more patients in the counties we serve—every dollar raised helps alleviate the financial burden on cancer patients in our communities. We appreciate everyone who helped with this hugely successful and record-setting campaign.”
Tammy Miller, Board President of PA Pink Zone, said, “The Pink Zone is so blessed to have a caring partnership with Kish Bank. Everyone who is part of the Kish community shows an incredible passion and commitment to the breast cancer community. Kish’s support allows us to assist so many more people in Central PA. We are beyond grateful.”
Tom Chucuddy, Senior Development Manager for the American Cancer Society, also expressed gratitude on behalf of the organization and its mission, saying, “The American Cancer Society is the leading cancer-fighting organization with a vision to end cancer as we know it, for everyone. We could not advance our mission without the passionate support of our volunteers and our communities. Cancer touches all of us in one way or another. By supporting the American Cancer Society, Kish Bank is helping to bring hope to those facing a cancer diagnosis.”
Kish would like to extend heartfelt thanks to its customers and partners, local businesses, and the community for supporting the fight against cancer with donations to the Kish for the Cure campaign.
