STATE COLLEGE, PA – Kish Bank has announced the appointment of Richard Sarfert to Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer and the promotion of Robert Bilger to Senior Vice President and Senior Lending Officer.
In his new role as Chief Credit Officer, Sarfert will assume responsibility for the overall management of Kish’s $1 billion plus loan portfolio and for the bank’s credit administration team.
“Ric Sarfert’s depth of credit knowledge and experience will enable Kish to sustain its pace of exceptional loan portfolio growth while maintaining our focus on quality,” said William P. Hayes, Chairman and CEO of Kish Bank. “Ric’s appointment to Chief Credit Officer, supported by Kish’s already strong credit administration function, will elevate the bank’s loan portfolio management and credit quality monitoring while advancing our capacity to be responsive to the needs of our borrowers.”
Concurrently, Bilger will assume the role of Senior Lending Officer and will be responsible for the coordination of the bank’s commercial lending activities and the management of the commercial lending team, in addition to leading Kish’s expansion into the Altoona market.

Sarfert joined Kish in 2016 and has over 37 years of experience in the financial services industry. He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Penn State, a master’s degree in business administration from Saint Joseph’s University, and is also a graduate of the Pennsylvania Bankers Association’s Mid-Atlantic School of Commercial Lending at Bucknell University and the Executive Leadership School.
Bilger joined Kish in 2021 and has over 34 years of experience in banking and commercial lending. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Penn State.
